Project Manager

Custom Metal Contracting is looking for an Experienced Glazing & Curtain Wall Project Manager for our Calgary office.

Custom Metal Contracting (Glazing Group) Ltd., located in Calgary, Alberta Canada specializes in commercial, institutional, tilt-up warehouse and high-end residential glazing. We manufacture, design, and install curtain wall, window wall, and railing systems for high rise condominiums.

We are currently seeking an experienced Project Manager, reporting directly to the Operations Manager. This is a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines for multiple projects in multiple cities and locations.

Glazing & Curtain Wall experience is a must!

Requirements

Our successful candidate will have experience as a commercial glazing project manager with full knowledge of both unitized curtainwall and Unitized system. The successful Project manager will provide excellent service to customers and contribute to our team environment.

Qualifications include:

• Project management experience in the glazing industry.
• Knowledge of unitized curtainwall systems and window wall systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication to effectively communicate with Architects, General Contractors, Suppliers and Employees.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints and shop drawings is a must.
• Hard working, self-motivated and a team player.
• Organized and detail oriented.

Specific Duties

• Manage jobs from start to finish
• Plan and execute the projects scope of work
• Develop and maintain project schedules
• Ensure all work is done with quality and in accordance with contract requirements
• Track price changes in the scope of work and prepare change orders
• Track all costs associated with the projects
• Investigate and resolve disputes, defects and charge backs
• Schedule material procurement
• Maintain and develop supplier relationships
• Review all contracts, specifications, addenda, drawings, samples and correspondence
• Perform other duties as required

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum five (5) years of project management experience in the glazing industry
• MUST be proficient in Microsoft Excel
